Milky Way® the luminous thread from Durak

DURAK Milky Way® is a luminescent embroidery thread with a special glow-in-the-dark effect. Due to a special treatment in the finishing process, after contact with light for a few minutes, it stores and reflects it in the dark, even under extreme circumstances. Milky Way® luminous embroidery thread has the superior quality of all our products. It has been specifically designed for single and multi-head embroidery machines.
It emits light between 1 and 8 hours after absorbing sunlight or fluorescent light. It uses a uniform fiber structure to obtain excellent decorative stitches. Very soft to the touch, it can be used to highlight individual parts of an embroidery design. Milky Way® threads have a practical and long-lasting application and can be used as a decorative and fun element for a wide range of applications, for embroidering outerwear, sportswear, children's pyjamas and pillowcases, Halloween or Carnival costumes, quilting, upholstery decoration and on any other product where you want the shiny effect to appear. It is resistant to chlorine and denim washing. Important Tip:
To get the best glow-in-the-dark effect, we recommend using a dense filling stitch or outlining with 5-repeat stitches where you want the glow effect. A single pass stitch won't allow you to highlight and glow as much because the area it covers is small compared to a denser filling stitch. You'll see a much stronger shine if you manage to put more thread in a smaller area. Thread properties:

Storage Conditions
It must be stored away from heat, humidity, and direct sunlight.
Durak embroidered products are washable, foldable, and resistant to sunlight and chlorine.
Use the washing and storing instructions below to achieve the best results;
1) Products should not be stacked and folded when humid.
2) Embroidered products should not be put in the dryer without rinsing thoroughly.
3) In steam washers, the products should be hung on hangers and should not be in contact.
It is important that the heat level should not exceed 150ºC.
4) Colors are manufactured according to industrial color tolerance.
Physical Properties
Melts at 260ºC and softens at 220 - 240ºC.
Shrinkage is less than 1% at 150ºC.
Chemical Properties
Mineral acids: Resistant against most mineral acids.
Alkalis: Unaffected by weak alkalis, moderately resistant to strong alkalis.
Organic solvents: Unaffected by normal solvents, soluble in some phenolic compounds.
Bleaching: Unaffected.
Microorganisms (Mildew/Not): Unaffected.
Washing / Dry Cleaning: Unaffected.
Moisture regain: %0.4
